City Council honors Eagle Scouts for reaching goal

Caleb Matthew Williams and Raylon Marcellus Alexander of Boy Scouts of America Troop 7156 were honored at the Sept. 14 City Council meeting for recently earning the rank of Eagle Scout. Together, Caleb and Raylon earned 80 merit badges, completed numerous service hours and served in various leadership roles. During its Aug. 24 meeting, City Council recognized international guests and winners from the Space4Youth Competition, sponsored by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs and the Space Generation Advisory Council. The Space4Youth winners were selected based on their essays that considered space as a tool to accelerate change in sustainable water resources management, hydrology and the protection of aquatic ecosystems.
