ONLINE TICKET PAYMENT
You must either come to court on the date and time shown under “COURT APPEARANCE INFORMATION” on your Traffic ticket or pay the ticket before your court date. See Instructions for Paying Traffic Citations for information on what tickets can be paid without coming to Court.
If you fail to appear in court on the date and time shown on your traffic ticket or to pay the ticket BEFOREyour court date, the following things will happen WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE TO YOU.
- A warrant will be issued for your arrest.
- Your driver’s license will be suspended and it cannot be reinstated until the ticket is cleared and a reinstatement fee is paid.
- A new charge of failure to appear may be made against you.
- The fine is subject to being increased.
- Any bond you have posted will be forfeited.
If you would like to plead not guilty, call (256) 427-7810 before your court appearance date to have a trial date set. If you do not want to contest your ticket, you may come to the Municipal Justice and Public Safety Center before the court date on your citation and pay your fines and court costs, or register for a defensive driving class if eligible.
