Huntsville residents in need of a whiskered, purring companion are urged to bring home a cat or kitten from Huntsville Animal Services (HAS) in honor of International Rescue Cat Day. Observed annually on March 2, International Rescue Cat Day is designed to raise awareness about homeless cats and kittens and encourage adoptions. On February 15, 2022, at 8:28 p.m. HPD officers responded to I565 WB at Exit 3 for a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident. Investigators believe the incident began as a domestic dispute when the involved pulled off the roadway. The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged a Spring Hill Tennessee man with electronic solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act. Ronald Despain Jr., 39, was arrested by HPD Special Victims Unit (SVU) Investigators in Huntsville on Monday, Feb. 14, for the listed charges.
