Annexation The City Council unanimously approved the annexation of 659.10 acres of land lying east of U.S. Highway 231 South and on the north and south sides of River Loop Road, in Morgan County. The annexation comes by request of the landowners and culminates some four years of study by various City departments regarding the feasibility. New office spaces in Research Park were the top non-residential building permits issued last month. Residential permits and CO’s grew year-over-year. Residential Permits (new construction) in Huntsville city limits: In January, 94 housing units were permitted, all single-family. The top tract for building permits last month was 109.01 (Hampton Cove), where 17 units were permitted. Huntsville Police have made an arrest regarding the bank robbery at the Woodforest National Bank at 6140 University Drive. Keon Ladell Reed, 38 yrs old, was arrested for Robbery 1st early yesterday evening. Huntsville Police have made two arrests regarding the investigation on Boxwood Cir. on February 14th. Michael Christian Stoltzfus, 30yrs old and James Michael Romans, 24yrs old, were arrested and charged with murder. Officers received a call about a possible victim in an apartment at the Boxwood Cir. location. Officers investigated and discovered a deceased male inside the vacant apartment.
