Huntsville holds public input sessions on new City Hall project
Published on February 27, 2020
The City of Huntsville is working on plans to build a new City Hall and the public is invited to learn more about the project during three public meetings.
On March 3, 4, and 5, architects from Goodwyn Mills Cawood will be available to explain the design process and public amenities slated for the new building and to receive public input.
Huntsville’s municipal operations outgrew City Hall many years ago and offices are scattered throughout the City. The administration is particularly eager to move the Urban Development Department under one roof – Engineering, Natural Resources, GIS, Planning, Inspection and Community Development.
The new City Hall will be built on the site of the municipal parking garage at Gates Avenue and Fountain Circle, across the street from its present location.
