911 Day of Remembrance

Huntsville Fire & Rescue along with HPD and HEMSI will be taking part in a Day of Remembrance on September 11th 2016 at Huntsville Fire Station #1 located at 2110 Clinton Avenue. The ceremony will start promptly at 7:40 am. Huntsville Fire & Rescue Training Academy graduated 23 new firefighters today during a ceremony at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. The new firefighters endured a strenuous twenty-two (22) week academy where they were taught the basic skills that establish the knowledge required for a career in firefighting. Huntsville Fire responded to a structure fire on Uvalde Lane this morning. The call came in around 800 am to 911 by a caller stating that a house was on fire.
