Survey says! Huntsville Parks & Recreation seeks programming feedback from teens

Huntsville Parks & Recreation is calling upon teenagers and their parents/guardians to participate in a teen activity survey aimed at enhancing recreational opportunities tailored to the interests and schedules of Huntsville’s youth.

With the school year ending in three months, Parks & Recreation is seeking insights into preferred teen activities as well as ideal days and times for participation.

Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett said the survey underscores a commitment to providing enriching programming for all age demographics. Each quarter, Parks & Recreation publishes a directory of programs , many of which are free to the community.

“Our goal is to offer inclusive and worthwhile programming to all age groups,” Gossett said. “It’s vital that we provide opportunities that resonate with teenagers, especially during the summer months, to encourage meaningful social interactions beyond digital devices.”

The survey’s findings will guide the City in developing a diverse range of activities that engage teens through socialization, physical activity and personal development. By taking a few minutes to complete the survey, teens and their families contribute directly to shaping the recreational landscape of their community.
