Huntsville City Council meeting to feature live musical performances

The Huntsville High School Band will play on the lawn outside City Hall just prior to the meeting from 5-5:25 p.m. Local performer Dani Caines will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” in the 1 st Floor Chambers of City Hall shortly after the meeting starts at 5:30.

It’s the second year City Council has hosted performances during its September meetings in recognition of Huntsville Music Month .

Music Officer Matt Mandrella said he appreciates Council’s support of Huntsville’s diverse music ecosystem, from students to professionals. Performers will receive a special recognition at the meeting.

“It doesn’t matter if your stage is at one of Huntsville’s many great venues or on a football field on Friday nights, we want to recognize and support our dynamic music-makers,” he said. “I appreciate the Council spotlighting these talented performers.”
