Police Looking for Suspect in Domestic Violence Shooting

Huntsville Police are investigating an overnight shooting that happened at the Papa Jacks, 2018 Jordan Lane. Investigators are still searching for the suspect, Brandon Jamar, 31 of Huntsville.
Officers responded to the shooting call around 2:00 a.m. this morning, and before the officers arrived the victim had already been taken from the scene by a friend. The friend stopped in the area of Oakwood Avenue and Church Street, and the victim was transported to the hospital by HEMSI for treatment of a gunshot wound to the neck. The victim has since been released from the hospital and is expected to recover.
The victim is the ex-girlfriend of Jamar, and the two got into a verbal altercation in the store parking lot. Jamar pulled a gun from his car and fired a round into the victim’s car striking her in the neck. Jamar then fled the scene in a red Dodge Journey.
