Pedestrian Struck by Police Car

Huntsville Police are investigating a traffic accident involving a pedestrian and a police car.  The accident happened last night around 10:15 p.m., on Memorial Parkway between Oakwood Avenue and Max Luther Drive.

The officer was driving south on Memorial Parkway when a 27 year old female attempted to cross the roadway from the west side.  The officer was not able to stop and struck the lady.  She was transported to the hospital in serious condition.  The officer was not injured and the investigation is ongoing.
