Topgolf and a new restaurant at Bridge Street Town Centre were among the non-residential permits issued last month. Residential permits decreased, while CO’s increased year-over-year.
Residential Permits (new construction) in Huntsville city limits:
In March, 135 housing units were permitted, 99 single- and 36 multi-family. The top tracts for building permits last month was 212 (Greenbrier), where 40 units were permitted, 4 single- and 36 multi-family. This is a 22.4% decrease over March 2016, when 174 housing units (138 single- and 36 multi-family) were permitted.
Residential Certificates of Occupancy (new construction) in Huntsville city limits:
101 housing units were granted certificates of occupancy (CO’s), all single-family. The top tract for CO’s in the month of March was 109.01 (Hampton Cove) where 21 housing units were added. This is a 13.4% increase from March 2016, when 89 housing units (81 single- and 8 multi-family) were granted CO’s.
