Major Crimes Unit Arrest

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged a 17-year-old juvenile with Capital Murder and first-degree Assault and 19-year-old Darion Nelson with Felony Murder following a shooting incident on Thursday, Jan. 13.

Officers responded to the 2400 block of Tuxedo Drive shortly before 11 p.m. and found 31-year-old Michael Sykes with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital, where he is still in critical condition. 20-year-old Montrell Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both charged in the case have been booked in the Madison County Jail. There is no further information to release as the investigation continues.
