Huntsville Parks & Recreation to host fourth annual Eggstravaganza

Hosted by Huntsville Parks & Recreation, the event will be Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at the John Hunt Park Festival Grounds, located behind the Jaycee Community Building, 2151 Jaycee Way. The celebration begins with a grand entrance from the Easter Bunny and continues with scheduled age group egg hunts, crafts and prizes for kids. Members of Huntsville’s public safety departments will also be participating.

The egg hunt schedule is, as follows:

  • Special populations, 10 a.m.
  • Ages 5 and under, 10:30 a.m.
  • Ages 6-9, 11 a.m.
  • Ages 10-12, 11:30 a.m.

“Eggstravaganza is an event for the whole family to enjoy,” said Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett. “This is our fourth year hosting the event, and it’s always a hit because there’s something there for everyone.”
