The Huntsville Music Office invites anyone interested in Huntsville’s growing music scene to attend the next HSV Quarterly Music Meetup

The free networking event will run from 6-8 p.m. at Fractal Brewing Project, 3200 Leeman Ferry Road. Attendees can learn more about the objectives of the Huntsville Music Office, meet Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella and members of the Huntsville Music Board, and network with music community stakeholders.

Concessions will be available for purchase.

This will be the first HSV Quarterly Music Meetup since the announcement that Huntsville will host the 2023 Music Cities Convention on Oct. 18-20, 2023. Mandrella predicts the announcement, and its impact on Huntsville’s Music Scene, will be a popular topic of discussion at Tuesday’s event.

“This will solidify our efforts to become a major music city, and it’s a tremendous honor for us to host this global event,” he said. “There’s a lot of buzz about it in our music community, and I think there are a lot of people who are curious to know how they can be involved. I anticipate many of the conversations at Tuesday’s meetup will revolve how we can put our best foot forward.”

Mandrella said the final meetup will also be the perfect way to wrap up his first full year as Music Officer. Over the course of the year, the Huntsville Music Office has launched its online presence, HuntsvilleMusic.com , hosted its first Huntsville Music Month in September, developed a monthly e-newsletter and worked with community stakeholders to advance music education initiatives .

The City also debuted a comprehensive music and events calendar, HuntsvilleMusic.com/Calendar . Since it launched in August, about 750 music events have been added to the calendar.

“I’m proud that our music calendar is being embraced by not only our local musicians and venues, but also by the public,” Mandrella said. “I look forward an even bigger and better year in 2023.”
