HPD Swearing-In of New Officers

Huntsville Police welcomes several new officers today. Retired HPD Officer Chet Berry will be a part of our part-time officer program and three other officers are now part of our Lateral Entry Program. The lateral Officers, Corey Cochran, Garret Crumby and Anthony McClendon come from other departments around the state to include Decatur, Tuscaloosa and Dothan. All of them bring a total of 44 years of LE experience and 20 years of military experience to HPD. They also have a wide range of specialty training and experience to include SWAT, Criminal Investigations, Field Training Officer and one of them is also an instructor in verbal de-escalation training.
