Expect traffic delays downtown for St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) advises residents and visitors to anticipate traffic delays in downtown Huntsville on Saturday, March 15, ahead of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Road closures will start at 10 a.m. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. at Lot K on Clinton Avenue West and Holmes Avenue and end at the lumberyard parking lot on Meridian Street North near Howe Avenue Northeast and Cleveland Avenue Northwest. Impacted roads include Holmes Avenue, Southside Square and Monroe, Jefferson, Washington and Meridian streets.

Huntsville Police will assist with road closures and traffic control to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all attendees. Drivers should be aware of increased pedestrian traffic in the downtown area and are encouraged to plan accordingly.
