Council Member Devyn Keith allocates funds for girls mentoring program

Council Member Devyn Keith used a portion of his District 1 Council Improvement Funds to support a mentoring program for girls in grades 4-12.
Keith allocated $5,000 to the Greater Huntsville Area Chapter of National Coalition of 100 Black Women to help fund its Because I Am A Girl Mentoring Program .
The program’s purpose aims to empower young women by ensuring they are set up for success in personal growth as well as leadership, educational and social development.
“This is a program that’s tremendously beneficial for our community both today and in the future as these young women grow up to be the leaders of tomorrow,” Keith said. “I am very excited to offer some support to help ensure the program can be its best.”
