City of Huntsville Statements on Confederate Memorial

Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle and City Council President Devyn Keith released the following statements after today’s 9-0 vote by the Madison County Commission decision to proceed with a relocation plan for the Confederate Memorial on the Courthouse Square. “The City of Huntsville pledges to work hand in hand with the Madison County Commission to help them find a suitable home for the monument in an appropriate historic context.” – Mayor Tommy [ more ]
