The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) promoted four investigators, six sergeants, three lieutenants and three captains Friday, Feb. 9. During a special ceremony, Officers Ben Brewer, Gabriel Harrell, Jeremiah Higgins and Daniel Kynard were promoted to the rank of Investigator. Huntsville Transit’s ridership increased in 2023, marking a steady climb after passenger traffic dropped significantly during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.
