City of Huntsville leaders approved a project to build a 42-unit multi-family development partially supported by American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds to provide safe, affordable housing for the homeless and other vulnerable groups. The widening of James Record Road/Martin Road between Trademark Drive and Electronics Boulevard for bridge replacement over Bradford Creek is finally underway. The bridgework is part of Phase II of the Martin Road Improvement Project, which includes a 1.6-mile, five-lane roadway with 4-foot bike lanes and 5-foot sidewalks on each side of the bridge between Old Jim Williams Road and Laracy Drive.
