The Huntsville City Council unanimously approved a $197 million dollar operating budget Thursday night for the 2017 fiscal year. The budget contains a two percent cost of living raise for City employees, supports growth in the police department with eight new positions, and provides fleet improvements for fire, police and sanitation. The property, at 265 Wade Road, backs up to the greenway at the Hays Nature Preserve and provides a beautiful play area for dogs to run along with picnic tables and sunshades for the pet owners.
