September 23, 2016The Huntsville City Council unanimously approved a $197 million dollar operating budget Thursday night for the 2017 fiscal year. The budget contains a two percent cost of living raise for City employees, supports growth in the police department with eight new positions, and provides fleet improvements for fire, police and sanitation.
