Arrests Made in Medaris Road Murder Investigation

The Huntsville Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit has charged Lamia Boykin, 20 of Huntsville, and Michael Fondren, 27 of Huntsville, with the September 2 nd murder of 62 year old Neal Boykin.
Officers responded to a home in the 2100 block of Medaris Road on September 2 for a welfare check. When they arrived they found Mr. Boykin dead. He appeared to have died from blunt-force trauma.
Today investigators charged Mr. Boykin’s daughter, Lamia Boykin, and Michael Fondren with Capital Murder. Investigators believe the two assaulted the victim while attempting to take money from him, and he died as a result of his injuries. Both are being held in the Madison County Jail.
