Arrest Made in Wednesday Hit and Run Accident

Huntsville Police Traffic Investigators have charged Serecia Dancy, 44 of Huntsville, with a felony count of Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

The accident happened around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Oakwood Avenue and Brookline Drive.  A vehicle was traveling west on Oakwood Avenue when it was struck by Dancy’s vehicle.  Dancy was traveling south on Brookline Drive and failed to stop at the intersection.  The force of the accident pushed the victim’s vehicle into a house at the intersection of Oakwood Avenue and Morningside Drive.  Dancy left the scene and a 5 year old in the other vehicle was injured.  No one in the house was injured.

Dancy turned herself in to investigators today and was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident.  The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.
