Arrest Made in Monday Afternoon Shooting on Thomas Road

Investigators have charged Marcus Bradham, 20 of Athens, with Assault following the investigation of a shooting Monday afternoon on Thomas Road.
Officers responded to calls of gunshots in the 3800 block of Thomas Road around 1:30 p.m. yesterday. When they arrived they found the victim who had been shot in the leg. He was transported to the hospital, but his injuries were not life-threatening. The shooting occurred behind a building where several people were congregated. An apartment was also struck with a bullet but no one was injured. Investigators believe Bradham shot the victim before running from the scene.
Bradham already had two warrants for a robbery to individuals that happened on February 4 on Edgemont Drive. He was taken into custody in Athens Tuesday morning and charged with the warrants. Bradham was also charged with Assault 1 st degree and Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling for yesterday’s incident on Thomas Road.
