Arrest Made in Bojangles Robbery

The Huntsville Police Department Robbery Investigative Unit has charged 19 year old Davian Rice of Huntsville with Robbery.  The arrest followed the armed robbery of Bojangles at 4323 University Drive, on September 20.

Officers responded to the robbery call at approximately 10:10 p.m. last night after two men entered the restaurant at gunpoint and demanded money.  With the assistance of a police K-9 officers were able to quickly locate Rice who had run from the scene.  He was taken into custody after officers found him hiding in bushes near a vacant building on Independence Drive.  Rice was charged with robbery and remains in the Madison County Jail.

Officers are still searching for a second suspect described as a black male in his late 20’s to early 30’s, and approximately 6 feet tall weighing around 200 pounds.  He was wearing a white shirt at the time of the crime.  If anyone has any information about the robbery they are asked to call the Huntsville Police Department at (256)722-7100.
