Animal Shelter Celebrates the Year of the Dog with $10 Adoption Special

Huntsville Animal Services is celebrating the Chinese zodiac Year of the Dog ‘Earth Dog’ is going to be a good one. You can help make that prophecy come true by taking part and adopting a shelter canine.
If you were born in one of these years – 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006 or 2018 – you are a Dog Chinese Zodiac Animal. Owning a pet is your destiny, and we have plenty of lovable dogs to choose from at the Shelter.
Each adoption will include a rabies vaccination, microchip, spay or neuter surgery, and heartworm test. Restrictions may apply on some pets.
Those who can’t adopt but are interested in supporting Huntsville Animal Services, can do so through volunteering , fostering or donating pet toys and supplies .
The Huntsville Animal Shelter is located at 4950 Triana Boulevard and is open Monday through Saturday for adoptions. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
