The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged 21-year-old Ladarrious Louis Brown, with Murder and two counts of Second-degree Assault following an incident at an apartment in the 4200 block of Myrtlewood Dr.

HPD responded to the apartment shortly after 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, and discovered 20-year-old Jeremiah Jones deceased inside. A second victim inside the apartment was shot accidentally in the foot and was not a part of the dispute. A third victim in the apartment next door was shot in the leg from a stray bullet that went through the wall. Both victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

HPD Major Crimes Unit Investigators believe the victim and suspect had a verbal dispute that led to Jones’s death.

Brown was taken into custody on Saturday morning and booked into the Madison County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.
