Once again, your voices have been heard. Motorists traveling on Balch and Capshaw Roads asked for turn lanes to alleviate traffic concerns where the roads intersect. Collaboration between Council Member John Meredith and Madison County Commissioner Phil Vandiver resulted in a major road improvement that will add left turn lanes on both roads. Council Member John Meredith used a portion of his District 5 Council Improvement Funds to support two district-based community organizations. Meredith allocated $10,000 to the National Coalition of 100 Black Women – Greater Huntsville Area Chapter to support an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning program. A $10,000 appropriation to CNI Solutions will support the implementation of financial literacy programs and creation of other transformative opportunities for underserved communities.
