Huntsville Police asks Alabama Law Enforcement Agency to investigate in-custody death
September 7, 2021The Huntsville Police Department has asked the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) to investigate an incident which happened on Treymore Ave. about 5 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7. Officers responded to the area where a stolen vehicle was located. The suspect attempted to flee the area on foot and was apprehended by officers without incident. September 7, 2021In an effort to reduce overcrowded kennels, Huntsville Animal Services (HAS) is waiving adoption fees on all adult cats and dogs through Saturday, Sept. 11, though some exclusions apply. All adoptable pets are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and come with a City license and free bag of pet food. September 2, 2021A trench collapse Thursday resulted in a multiagency response to free three Huntsville Public Works employees. The workers were installing a storm pipe at the northern end of John Hunt Park. Two employees were injured and a third died at the scene. The injured workers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
