Downtown Huntsville to Relaunch Bike Share Program

September 8, 2020Huntsville Police were called around 7pm about a person harassing protesters and brandishing a gun near the courthouse square. When Officers arrived they took 51 yr old Scott Christopher Davis of Huntsville into custody. Davis was in possession of handgun at the time he was detained. He is being charged with Public Intoxication and Possession of Firearm at a Demonstration; 13A-11-59.

September 8, 2020Huntsville Police have arrested 38 yr old Brian Lamont Douglas and charged him with Arson 1st Degree. Douglas is accused of setting fire to his apartment at the 4100 Block of Newson Rd on August 16th. The fire caused damage to 8 apartment units, several of which were occupied at the time. There were no serious injuries in this case.

Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8. Garbage Collection: Monday’s holiday will impact garbage collection for the week of September 7-11, delaying pickup by one day.
