Meet the 2023 Huntsville Beautification Awards winners
Published on September 1, 2023
Since 1975, local leaders have joined the Huntsville Beautification Board to recognize citizen and business efforts to create a thriving, beautiful city.
To preserve that tradition of excellence, Mayor Tommy Battle joined board members at this year’s Huntsville Beautification Awards on Friday, Sept. 1, at Oakwood University’s Community Health Action Center.
“We’re blessed to live in a community filled with residents ready to continue the mission of the Beautification Board,” Mayor Battle said. “Each award today represents just one piece of the puzzle that makes Huntsville a clean, attractive place to live, work and play.”
The annual awards ceremony honors area businesses and individuals that demonstrate originality, design and high quality with their properties. This year, the Beautification Board received nearly 450 applications.
All this work would not be possible without the help of dedicated members of the City’s Green Team.
“We’re proud to partner with the Huntsville Beautification Board to further our mission of keeping Huntsville beautiful and clean for generations to come,” said City of Huntsville’s Manager of Landscape Management Niki Sothers.
