Major Crimes Unit Arrest

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged 23-year-old Michael Anthony McDade Jr. with Murder after a shooting call at 6620 Old Madison Pike around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, October 8.

HEMSI transported two patients to the hospital following the shooting. 24-year-old Quentaveis Shaquan Fletcher was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other person taken to the hospital had only minor injuries and has been released.

HPD Major Crimes Unit Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic-related altercation involving McDade’s family member and her boyfriend.

McDade is currently being booked into the Madison County Jail on a Murder charge.

The investigation continues, and there is no further information to release at this time
