Huntsville Animal Services ‘barking’ at the seams

Published on June 15, 2021

HUNTSVILLE, AL – With so many dog of all ages, sizes and colors, Huntsville Animal Services is barking – er bursting – at the seams. To help clear the kennels, the Shelter has lowered adoption fees to just $10 this week, though some exceptions may apply.

Most of the dogs are ages 1 and older and are waiting for a forever home. Some have been at the Shelter too long and need the community’s support.

The adoption package includes vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, a City license and a free bag of dog food. If you’re unable to adopt a pet, consider fostering an animal through the Shelter’s foster program.

HAS is located at 4950 Triana Boulevard in Huntsville. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
