Arrests Made in Wednesday Night Dollar General Robbery

Huntsville Police Department Robbery Investigators have charged two men, 21 year old William Pritchett and 22 year old Roylonzo Rhodes-Chapman, with Robbery. The arrests stem from the Wednesday night armed robbery of the Dollar General at Independence Drive and Jordan Lane. Officers responded to a robbery call at the Dollar General shortly before 9:00 p.m. on September 28. A short time later patrol officers located an abandoned car in the area. [ more ]

The arrests stem from the Thursday night armed robbery of the Kangaroo convenient store at Jordan Lane and Holmes Avenue. Both men are being held in the Madison County Jail. The Huntsville Police Department has released the Incident Review Board findings from an officer-involved shooting on September 17. The shooting at 8212 Bailey Cove Road resulted in the death of 45 year old Robert Young. Two officers were placed on administrative leave until the Incident Review Board was able to thoroughly investigate. Yureli Vazquez, an 18 year old female from Huntsville, last spoke to family members approximately a week ago. She is 5 feet tall, 100 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. The Huntsville Police Department has released the identity of a man killed in a Monday night accident on Jordan Lane near Bob Wallace Avenue. Police responded to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian around 9:15 p.m. on Monday. It appears 67 year old Ernest Pope of Huntsville was struck while attempting to cross Jordan Lane.
