Weather permitting, Holmes Avenue from Greene to Lincoln streets will temporarily close Wednesday, May 10, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Traffic control will be in place to detour traffic and access to businesses will be maintained.
Weather permitting, Monroe Road between Pulaski Pike and Mt. Lebanon Road will close for approximately four months for road improvements beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 9. Local access will be maintained within the work area.
Traffic control will help detour motorists around Patterson Lane and Mt. Lebanon Road (see map). Please use caution when traveling in this area and obey all signage.
City of Huntsville Traffic Engineering will intermittently close traffic lanes at Governors Drive and Clinton Avenue through June 1 for intersection improvements.
Please use caution in the area or take alternate routes.
Weather permitting, resurfacing work will require temporary road closures from 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 4. Affected streets include:
Holmes Avenue from Jefferson to Washington streetsThe westbound lane of Clinton Avenue from Jefferson to Washington streets
Traffic control will detour traffic and all businesses will be open and accessible.
Weather permitting, the northbound lanes of Monroe Street between Clinton and Williams avenues will close for approximately three months, beginning 9 a.m. Monday, April 24, to accommodate a construction project.
Southbound lanes will feature one lane moving in each direction (see attached map). Existing driveways along Monroe in front of the Von Braun Center and City parking garage will be right in / right out only. Traffic control measures will assist motorists.
Pratt Avenue from Andrew Jackson Way to Meridian Street is closed while workers repair a water main and the roadway. The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m. Friday, April 14.
Access to homes and businesses in the affected area will be restricted to side streets only. Drivers should take alternate routes.
Weather permitting, road resurfacing projects in downtown Huntsville will require lane closures on several streets over the next two weeks. Work is expected to start at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 11.

Jefferson Street from Holmes Avenue to Spring Street and from Monroe Street to the overpass bridge
Monroe Street from Spragins Street to Greene Street

Weather permitting, Greene Street from Monroe Street to Clinton Avenue will operate as a two-way street starting at 9 a.m. Monday, April 3.
Motorists should use caution and obey all traffic control signs and pavement markings.
Weather permitting, Little Cove Road between Ripple Lane and Willowick Trail will experience daily road closures from Monday, March 27, through Thursday, March 30, for drainage improvements. The closure will span from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Residents will have local access during this time. Traffic will be detoured to Eastern Bypass and Quarter Lane. Please avoid the construction area.
Northbound lanes of Church Street in front of Truist Bank will temporarily close Saturday, March 25, to accommodate a crane. Barricades will be in place and a worker will be at the intersection of Church Street and Williams Avenue to keep traffic flowing in both directions.
Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes. Please use caution in the area.
