Get-A-Way Skatepark is a 52,000-square-foot complex located at John Hunt Park. Designed by Team Pain Skate Parks, it opened in September 2023. It offers features that are exciting to both street and Olympic-style skateboarders, including three bowl areas, two snake runs, a three-quarter pipe and street plaza.

RULES

  • The City of Huntsville assumes no responsibility for personal injury or for any loss, theft or damage to personal items.
  • The skatepark is for skateboards, bikes, in-line and quad skaters, and non-foldable scooters only. No motorized vehicles, bikes or scooters allowed.
  • All participants are required to wear proper attire, including closed-toe shoes and shirts. Safety gear, pads, and wrist supports are recommended. Helmets are mandatory.
  • Smoking, vaping, alcohol, profanity and loud music are prohibited.
  • No pets allowed.
  • Children under 12 should be supervised by an adult.
  • Spectators must remain away from the riding area.
  • Do not proceed into any area until clear of other participants.
  • Portable obstacles or materials, such as ramps, jumps and rails may not be used.
  • The facility will be closed when the surface is wet or during inclement weather.
  • The City of Huntsville reserves the right to schedule organized activities at any time without notice.
