Dog Parks
Huntsville offers several “Dog Spots,” off-leash doggie play areas. Each is approximately the size of two football fields and designed with dog safety in mind, having a divided play area for dogs less than 25 pounds.
Dog Spots are open for dogs and their owners during normal park hours – from dawn to one hour after dark, unless otherwise posted.
DOG PARK LOCATIONS
Downtown Dog Spot
Located on Cleveland Avenue, between Church Street and Meridian Street, just off the downtown exit from I-565.
Creekwood Park Dog Spot
Located west of Cummings Research Park in Creekwood Park , 360 Harvestwood Court.
Hampton Cove Dog Spot
Located at 235 Wade Road , just off of Highway 431 South, near the Hays Nature Preserve.
Southside Dog Spot
Located at 16159 Chaney Thompson Road , north of Green Cove Road.
