Internal Affairs

By investigating complaints of misconduct against agency personnel, the Internal Affairs Division plays an important role in maintaining these standards.
Huntsville Police Internal Affairs Division only investigates complaints against Huntsville Police employees.
FILE A COMPLAINT
While the Huntsville Police Department encourages citizens to use the complaint process, the complaint must be filed in good faith. All formal complaints must be signed by the complainant.
There are several ways to contact Internal Affairs:

Huntsville Police Citizens Advisory Council
The 13-member Huntsville Police Citizens Advisory Council (HPCAC) was created in 2010 to strengthen the bonds between the Police Department and the community.
The Council recommends procedures, programs, or legislation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Police Department and works to keep the Chief of Police, Mayor, and City Council apprised of actions that create community concern.
