Citizen Police Academy
The Huntsville Police Department Citizens Police Academy gives citizens firsthand information on HPD operations and examines the culture of police work and the organization. It provides an excellent opportunity for citizens to interact with law enforcement. The Citizens Police Academy is NOT an offer of employment but a volunteer program to educate members of our community who want to hear information on law enforcement and the Huntsville Police Department.
The academy is a nine-week program that involves classroom and interactive instruction. During our 2024 Citizen Academy, students will meet every Tuesday from April 30 until July 2 from 6-9 p.m.
2024 applications are closed.
