Council Member David Little

David Little was born and raised in Huntsville, in the heart of District 2.  He attended Blossomwood Elementary, Huntsville Middle and Huntsville High School, graduating in 1991. After high school, David spent four years in the United States Marine Corps before earning degrees from Calhoun Community College and Athens State University.

His diverse professional background includes aerial photography, owning his own small business and sales management with a local technology firm before joining the investment industry in 2005. Today, he works with a local wealth management and financial planning firm.

David has served the community in a variety of ways. He is a graduate of three programs at Leadership Greater Huntsville and has served on the boards of several local nonprofit organizations, including Heals, the Huntsville Rotary Club and Leadership Greater Huntsville.  In 2010, David was appointed to the newly created Huntsville Police Citizens Advisory Council by then District 2 Council Member Mark Russell.

David loves Huntsville and is honored to represent the citizens of both District 2 and Huntsville.

David and his wife, Mimi, also a native of Huntsville, have three children, Caroline, Layne, and Grey. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking decent barbecue, kayaking with his family down local rivers and railroad photography.
