To report a wastewater emergency during normal business hours, call Water Pollution Control at (256) 883-3719.
After normal business hours, call the Huntsville Police Department at (256) 722-7100.

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday, except on City-observed holidays.
WHAT IS A WASTEWATER EMERGENCY?

Sewage overflowing from a manhole or pipe

Visibly broken or damaged pipe or access manhole

Cover missing from a manhole

Alarm sounding/ light flashing at a wastewater pumping station or grinder pump

Pipe damaged while digging
WHAT IS NOT A WASTEWATER EMERGENCY?

Slow-draining bathtub(this is usually caused by blockage in the lateral pipe on private property, and is the owner’s responsibility – call a plumber for assistance)

Water seen leaking from a potable water (drinking water) supply pipe

Billing questions – call (256) 883-3719 during normal business hours

Creek or surface flooding
