9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

In remembrance Sept. 11, 2001, the Huntsville Police Department (HPD), Huntsville Fire and Rescue (HFR), Huntsville Emergency Medical Services, Inc. (HEMSI) and Mayor Tommy Battle will honor those who died in the terror attacks. The ceremony will be at the HPD’s West Precinct/Fire Station 1, though all fire stations will also hold observances.

A moment of silence will be observed as well as a sounding of the sirens from emergency personnel at approximately 7:46 a.m., which is the time the first World Trade Center tower was struck. This event is open to media and the public. Those who wish to attend are asked to arrive no later than 7:15 a.m.
