SUMMARY

This project, also known as the Weatherly Road project, includes a 2-mile road extension along Haysland Road to Hobbs Road. The connection will help to relieve congestion on South Parkway, provide additional access to the Redstone Arsenal gate on Redstone Road, and provide access to planned residential, commercial, and recreational developments that will grow around the new Grissom school.

The project includes more than 2-miles of a new 12-foot wide multiuse path through approximately 250 acres of preserved open space.  The City will be continuing this multi-use path to Hobbs Road in a separate greenway project, now under design.

STATUS
