Join Council Member Jennie Robinson and Green Team for a clean-up day for South Huntsville.

From 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. at the Sandra Moon Community Complex, previously Grissom High School, District 3 residents can pick up neighborhood cleanup supplies for the annual South Huntsville Cleanup.

The Solid Waste Disposal Authority of Huntsville will also be on hand collecting your household hazardous waste (items like old paint, computers, televisions, car batteries, used motor oil, lawn care chemicals and household cleaning chemicals.)

Supplies can be picked up starting at 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. Cleanup supplies include gloves, pickup sticks and trash bags.

Green Team will have popcorn and water for everyone to enjoy.


After all the hard work cleaning your neighborhood, you can head on over to Rosie’s Spring Festival at Rosie’s Shopping Plaza, located at 7540 Memorial Pkwy SW, Huntsville, AL 35802. This event is from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 and will include music, face painting, sweet treats, door prizes and more.
