STAC and ALEA Agents Make Drug Trafficking Arrest

On August 22, Agents with the Madison-Morgan County HIDTA Drug Task Force (STAC) charged 35 year old Galvan Franco with Trafficking in Methamphetamine. He is being held in the Madison County Metro Jail on a $500,000 bond.
The arrest was the result of an extensive investigation between the STAC Unit and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). Agents took Franco into custody in the area of Highway 72 and Balch Road and that led to the search of a home in the 26000 block of Highway 72. As a result of the investigation Agents seized 20 ounces of methamphetamine Ice with an estimated street value of $70,000. They also seized $7,000 in cash. The investigation is ongoing and Agents hope to make additional arrests.
