Weather permitting, contractors will be making sanitary sewer improvements in the area of Sivley Road and Montgomery Street in the Medical District from Wednesday, Dec. 5, through Friday, Dec. 7. The work will require temporary street closures.
From 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, through 8 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, contractors will close the intersection of Sivley Road and Montgomery Street.
From 8 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, through 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7, contractors will close Montgomery Street between Sivley Road and Governors Drive.

At 8:00am, Huntsville Utilities Water Operations will close the outside, northbound lane of Patton Road between Drake Avenue and Freemont Avenue for water main repair work.
The projected time of the closure is 2-4 hours.

At 8:30am, Huntsville Utilities Gas Operations will close the southbound lane of Leeman Ferry Road between Bob Wallace Avenue and Drake Avenue.
The closure is expected to last approximately six hours.

Weather permitting, Wednesday, November 7, contractors will be closing the southbound lane of Gallatin Street from Saint Clair Avenue to Sivley Street. The closure will begin at 9 p.m. and will remain closed until 8 a.m. Thursday morning. The reason for closure is due to sanitary sewer improvements in the area.
Motorists are highly encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
Traffic control, as well as detour road signage, will be in place to direct traffic around the work area. [ more ]
City of Huntsville Traffic Engineering will temporarily close Old Highway 431 between Little Cove Rd and Cherry Tree Road beginning next Monday, October 29 through Friday, November 2 between the hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Monday and Tuesday, November 5-6 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. The geotechnical subconsultant will be performing drilling operations as a part of final design to replace the one-lane bridges.
Weather permitting, work will begin to construct a storm water line across Old Railroad Bed Road just north of US Highway 72 on Thursday, November 1 and continue until Friday, November 2 from 6 p.m. until 4 a.m. The alternative date for this work if it is postponed due to weather will be Saturday, November 4 – Sunday, November 5 from 6 p.m. until 4 a.m.

Weather permitting, a new pedestrian crosswalk and Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacons (RRFB) with pushbuttons will be installed and activated at the intersection of South Shawdee Road and Valley Green Road on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at approximately 9:00 a.m. Drivers are advised to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk.
