Beginning Monday, Jan. 14, through Friday Jan. 18, contractors will be closing Williams Avenue between Monroe Street and Dr. Joseph Lowery Boulevard for roadway and pedestrian improvements. A detour will be in place for all traffic to use Davis Circle while this section of Williams Avenue is closed. Traffic control measures will be in place to assist motorists.
Contractors will be installing lane shifts in order for work to progress on the Church Street Phase I road project. Northbound traffic on Church Street between the Huntsville Depot and Wheeler Avenue has been shifted to the southbound lanes. Eastbound traffic on Pratt Avenue between Washington Street and Church Street has been shifted to the westbound lanes.

On January 8, Huntsville Utilities Gas Operations closed the eastbound right-hand lane of Clinton Avenue between Church Street and Monroe Street to spot cables for gas main relocation.
The work is expected to be completed around 2:00pm.

Huntsville Utilities Gas Operations has closed the outside, northbound lane of Triana Boulevard between 10th Avenue and 11th Avenue for emergency main repair on Wednesday, January 2.

December 18 at 9:00am, Huntsville Utilities Water Operations will close the outside, southbound lane and outside, northbound turning lane of South Memorial Parkway just north of SW Green Cove Road to repair a water leak.

UPDATE:
Due to weather conditions, Huntsville Utilities Electric Operations WILL NOT be closing the previously reported section of Monte Sano Boulevard Friday, December 13 or Saturday, December 15.
Pole replacement work will resume Sunday morning on December 16, and will be extended through Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
As a reminder, the road will be closed each morning at 8:30am and will reopen at 2:00pm. The section of road runs from Governor’s Drive to Burritt Drive SE.
