Weather permitting, on Thursday, Jan. 9, Water Pollution Control will close Old Highway 431 between Burress Road and Berkley Road from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to make sanitary sewer improvements.
Motorists are highly encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. Traffic control, as well as road closure signage, will be in place to direct traffic around the work area.

Weather permitting; the right lane of Jefferson Street between Clinton Avenue and Spring Street will be closed, beginning Friday, November 22, 2019, at 9 a.m., for approximately ten months for the contractor to construct a new hotel.
Traffic control, as well as detour signage, will be in place to direct traffic around the work area. Motorists are encouraged to use Monroe Street to Church Street to avoid congestion.

Weather permitting, beginning Wed., Nov. 20, through Thurs., Nov. 21, contractors will close the northbound and southbound lanes of Woodside Drive from Sutton Road to approximately 250 linear feet south of the Woodside Drive and Sutton Road intersection.
This lane closure will occur between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday for water pollution control work.

Church Street will be closed between Clinton Avenue and Williams Avenue on Tuesday, November 5 at 6:30am and will continue through the rest of the week.
Huntsville Utilities is in the process of installing fiber in this area, and there is an additional, non-utility related project going on in the same area.
For the safety of the workers and drivers, it was determined the best course of action was to close the street.

Weather permitting, the intersection at Harbin Road and Wall Triana Highway will begin functioning as a signalized intersection on Friday, October 25, 2019 at approximately 10 a.m.
Due to changes in the traffic operation of this intersection, motorists are advised to use caution and obey all traffic control signs and signals at this location.
Madison County Government advises Huntsville residents that a new slip ramp traveling south near Blake Bottom Road on Research Park Boulevard will be opened on October 15, after the new striping is complete.
On Wednesday, October 16, expect the Northbound to Westbound ramp to be opened, as well as the Eastbound to Southbound ramp, along with the closure of the section of Blake Bottom Road between Anslee Farms Subdivision and Research Park Boulevard/State Road 255. Weather permitting beginning Friday, October 11, at 9 a.m., until Sunday, October 13, at 5 p.m., the contractor will be closing Four Mile Post Road between Whitesburg Drive and Hymer Road.
Closure is needed to perform roadwork and tree removal.
Traffic control will be in place to detour traffic. NO THROUGH TRAFFIC will be allowed. Access to all residential properties will be maintained.

Weather permitting, the intersection of Fearn Street and Nolen Avenue will be modified to operate as an “All-Way” Stop-Controlled intersection on Thursday, October 10, beginning at approximately 9 a.m.
Motorists are advised to use caution and obey all traffic control signs and pavement markings.

Norfolk Southern Railway will close Church Street on Monday, October 14 for train track rehabilitation. The closure duration will be one day. Please be prepared to follow the detour signage while the crossing is closed.
