Weather permitting, beginning Friday, November 6, 2020, at approximately 9:00 a.m., City of Huntsville Traffic Engineering will modify the intersection of Balmoral Drive and Eagletree Lane to operate as an “All-Way” Stop Controlled intersection.
Motorists are advised to use caution and obey all traffic control signs and pavement markings.
Weather permitting, Eastbound Williams Avenue SW between Dr. Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard and Monroe St. SW, will be closed beginning November 6, 2020, at 3:00 a.m. and is expected to reopen the same day at 8:00 a.m.
The closure is needed for utility work construction at 401 Williams Avenue SW.
Traffic control, as well as detour route signage, will be in place to direct traffic around the work area. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when in the area.
Tonight, November 3, through Friday, November 6, Reed Contracting will conduct concrete repairs to pavement, curbs and gutters on Bob Wallace Avenue at Lex Drive. Work is expected to be complete and lanes reopened by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 6. While work is ongoing, the two Northbound and Southbound outer lanes of Bob Wallace will be closed in the immediate area while crews make necessary repairs.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when driving in this area.
Beginning Friday, October 30 at 8:30 a.m. through Saturday, November 21, contractors will be performing sanitary sewer work along the southbound lane of Heart of Huntsville Drive between Clinton Avenue and Monroe Street for the next three weeks. Flagmen will be in place to assist motorists along with standard traffic control devices.
Motorists are highly encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Weather permitting, the intersection at Tree Cove Lane/Taylor Road will begin functioning as a signalized intersection on Wednesday, October 28, at approximately 9 a.m.
Due to changes in the traffic operation of this intersection, motorists are advised to use caution, and obey all traffic control signs and signals at this location.

Weather permitting, Monday, November 2, at 9 a.m., contractors will begin to install lane shifts on Martin Road between Williams Circle and Zierdt Road for road work to progress on the roadway project. All traffic will be shifted to the two new eastbound lanes (one lane in each direction) between Williams Circle and Zierdt Road.

Weather permitting, Greene Street between Holmes Avenue NE and Clinton Avenue East will be closed to through traffic, beginning Monday, October 26, at 7 a.m. and will reopen no later than October 31, at 10 p.m. The closure is needed for construction activities in the vicinity of Greene Street and Holmes Avenue.
Traffic control will be in place to direct traffic around the work area. Please use caution when in the area.

Weather permitting, on Thursday, October 22, Water Pollution Control will close Pratt Ave. N.E. between Minor St. N.E. and Grayson St. N.E. The closure will begin at 8:00 a.m. Thursday and remain closed until 3 p.m. the same day. Crews are completing sanitary sewer improvements in the area.
Motorists are highly encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Weather permitting, on Saturday, October 17, from 4 a.m. to noon, contractors will close Jefferson Street between Clinton Avenue and Spring Street for construction associated with a new hotel. Traffic control measures will be in place to assist motorists.

Please be advised that Public Works will be closing the area of Bob Wallace Avenue and L & N Drive at the Railroad Crossing on Friday, October 2. City crews will be working with the Railroad Authority to make repairs to the railroad tracks in the area. The work is to begin at 9 a.m. and will be complete around 11 a.m.
