Weather permitting, Greene Street N.E., between Monroe Street N.W./Lincoln Street N.W. and Holmes Avenue N.E., will be closed to through traffic from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 31. Traffic control will be in place to direct traffic around the work area. Drivers should use caution in the area.
Weather permitting, Stringfield Road between Alabama 53 and Blake Bottom Road will be closed until 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6. Contractors are performing sanitary sewer improvements.
Motorists should take alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. Traffic control, road closure and detour signs will direct traffic around the construction site. Motorists should obey all traffic control devices.

Weather permitting, a new traffic signal at the intersection of Old Highway 20 and Segers Road will be activated at 1 p.m. Monday, July 19.

Weather permitting, Cecil Ashburn Drive will be closed in both directions beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, for a hazardous tree removal. The closure should last no more than one hour.
Weather permitting, a section of McCrary Road between Nance Road and Wall Triana Highway will be closed from 7 a.m. Friday, July 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 7 for drainage improvements.
Residents will still have local access, and the road will be reopened daily. Traffic will be detoured to Capshaw Road during work hours to avoid the construction area.
Weather permitting, crews will close the Interstate 565 East ramp and the right lane between the I-565 East and West ramps at North Memorial Parkway for brush and tree-cutting. The closure will span from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 24. Motorists should use caution and watch for workers and heavy equipment in the area.
Due to a construction delay, a planned closure of a section of Haysland Road will be extended until 8 p.m. Friday, July 9. The closure will impact all lanes between the last entrance to Home Depot and the Publix shopping center to R.W. Street Drive. Crews are working on sanitary sewer improvements.

Weather permitting, beginning 8 a.m. Monday, June 21, Huntsville’s Public Works Department will close Church Street between Clinton and Williams avenues. Crews will perform infrastructure improvements that may require the affected portion of Church Street to be closed to through traffic for up to three weeks. The project will not affect access to businesses.
Pedestrians in Big Spring Park and motorists are advised to use caution in the area.
Weather permitting, Lincoln Street will be converted to a two-way street from Holmes Avenue to the intersection of Monroe and Greene streets, beginning 9 a.m. Friday, June 11.
Motorists are advised to use caution and obey all traffic control signals, signs and pavement markings.
